Job Description

HSE Recruitment have partnered with a manufacturing company in Hull to find a Health and Safety Specialist for a maternity cover, which will run until September 2027. We are looking for someone who can start asap for this position.

The salary is up to £45,000 + up to 5% quarterly bonus which is regularly paid out.

Working within a HSEQ department and reporting into the QHSE Manager you will:
  • To proactively identify issues and solve problems relating to compliance and regulatory matters within the company and lead on health and safety improvements.
  • Develop and implement business safety processes and standards.
  • Support the Senior Management Team in maintaining a safe working environment, the wellbeing of all employees, visitors and contractor in full compliance with all legal obligations.

What we are looking for:
  • NEBOSH Certificate level qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience with at least 1 years’ experience in a health and safety advisor role within a manufacturing business.
  • Immediately available or available at short notice.
  • Experience managing electrical safety would be beneficial.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility /versatility combined with initiative, drive, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Approachable, human, and fair with an inherent drive to continuously deliver an exceptional service to colleagues, end users, direct reports, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a wide variety of key stakeholders.
